Whilst we love life on our rural brewery, sometimes the city calls. So yesterday our MD Paul hopped on a train and made his way south to the capital for the annual SIBA Retail Conference, to hear views on the current trading environment and network with other industry bods.
At the end of the conference SIBA presented their annual Business Awards, which recognises best practice across a range of business activities such as Best Customer Support, Best E-business and Best Sustainability. The awards are now in their sixth year.
This year, we were really pleased to be presented with an award to ‘Highly Commend’ our marketing efforts. The award was given in acknowledgement of the efforts we have made to connect with our fans through events such as our food and beer pairing evenings with Simpson’s and Carter’s, and our women-only ‘FemAle’ event with Malmaison.
Paul commented: “whilst we love winning awards for our beers it is also fantastic to be recognised for our business approach. These events were a huge success and we’ve made some great friends as a consequence. We’ll definitely be doing more in the new year, so watch this space for future announcements.”
