JIMBO – The Very Best Bitter. Brewed to celebrate the life of our co-founder James Minkin who sadly passed away in summer 2020

Our gluten free beers are gluten reduced to a threshold of less than 20 ppm (parts per million) which in the UK is regarded as Gluten Free (not in Europe). Although brewed with glutenous cereal, to achieve Gluten Free status we add an enzyme (Brewers Clarex) during the conditioning of the beer. This enzyme does not affect the taste but just denatures the Gluten. Using Brewers Clarex is a well-known & common practice across the brewing industry, and we are proud that many of our beers can be called ‘Gluten Free’

  • Tasting Notes
    Brewed with Pilgrim for that initial bitterness alongside the classics Fuggles, Goldings and a new hop Emperor by Charles Faram. The classic and new wave hops give JIMBO aromas of mixed berries, crisp apple, with a well-rounded nutty bitter finish.
  • Food Pairing
    Steak and ale pie, buttery mash & wilted greens. Vegan option: Vegan mushroom stroganoff
