As leading brewery of award winning sustainable modern-day craft beers Purity Brewing Co are currently seeking a driven and ambitious Customer Marketing Manager to join our growing marketing team. In this role you will be responsible for defining, planning, executing, and evaluating brand activation plans with key retailers and customers. Responsible for both the On and Off Trade, leading with our 4 drive brands, you’ll have ownership of the channel marketing agenda across the full brand portfolio.

Working and interacting with both internal and external stake holders you’ll bring to life the Purity core values of Pure Eco, Pure Quality and Pure Community through a combination of customer partnerships and our key activation pillars of sport, beer & food, music, art and culture.

Role Responsibilities in detail

  • As a Customer Marketing Manager, you will sit right at the heart of our business, working across the On and Off Trade Channels to drive excellent execution of our priority brands.
  • Reporting to and under the guidance of Head of Marketing you’ll work autonomously to ensure a clear and aligned channel strategy is in place that can be easily and effectively communicated to sales teams within each channel.
  • With support of key members of the Marketing, Customer Service and Sales teams you’ll develop brilliant 30-60-90 day rolling activation customer plans that can be tailored as necessary to maximize opportunities by customer and channel.
  • You’ll be responsible for day-to-day ownership of brand activation budgets
  • Working closely with our On Trade Sales Director, Head of Off Trade Sales and Head of On Trade Multiples & Wholesale, you’ll provide category & segmentation insight and development to the Sales team at team meetings.
  • You’ll understand and drive the commercial performance of our brands, identifying opportunities for further revenue and profit growth whilst recommending corrective interventions as required.
  • You’ll manage development and delivery of all brands sell in and support materials, maximizing visibility and impact across all sales channels and routes to market as agreed with the Head of Marketing.
  • Customer Comms planning:
    • Build a 30-60-90 rolling activation plan across both channels, ensuring we drive brilliant visibility
      all year round against our business objectives and brand priorities
    • Work with creative partners and agencies to develop best in class assets for the B2B channel
    • Collaboratively working with Stadia, Festivals & Events Manager on the delivery of trade event
  • Manages the Marketing & Activation element of our sustainability programme (Pure Eco)

About you:

You are a highly capable commercial marketer, comfortable in managing multiple brands. You have excellent project management skills. You have experience of working within Brand &/or Marketing teams, preferably in a drink’s environment or FMCG. You’ll have 3 to 5 years’ experience as Sales or Customer Marketing Manager equivalent, including experience working in premium beer.  You have developed successful marketing activation campaigns and providing evaluation of their effectiveness versus objectives. You have experience of applying strategic marketing principles, consumer & category insights to drive brand growth in trade.

Core Skills should include project management, analytical and core selling skills, as well as time management & prioritisation skills being key.  Ability to build powerful relationships and work collaboratively within and across a team. Problem solver & solution-based teammate who can deal with (at times) ambiguity & adapt quickly.

Will need to demonstrate evidence of experience in:

  • Significant interpersonal and influencing skills to communicate effectively to board level
  • Ability to build and develop relationships at every level is an essential pre-requisite of this role.
  • An extensive external network within our industry and associated businesses will be required.
  • Highly developed negotiation skills through practical experience.
  • Commercially creative, innovative, with a need to deeply understand commercial plans and brand equity management.
  • Highly developed Numeracy and Literacy skills.
