In 2020 Purity Brewing lost co founder Jim Minkin due to a short and brave battle with cancer. 

In October of 2020  to celebrate Jim’s life, JIMBO, our Best Bitter was born.  Brewed with only the finest local ingredients. Our friends at Charles Faram felt compelled to give Jim’s family the unique opportunity to name a new hop grown especially for the beer, Emperor, which is locally grown in Worcestershire.  Within only a few weeks we built up momentum, the feedback from the trade was amazing and we now had a true legacy for Jimbo – Great Bloke Real Character.  Our chosen charity at Purity is Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund (PCRF) and for every Best Bitter pint sold, and Best Bitter bottle bought, we will donate 5p to PCRF.
